If you have a whole room to re-create—an office or bedroom—excellent, but simply creating a space that is yours and that can bring you pleasure works as well.
Think about it as your sacred space, filled with your books and photos and memorabilia, because studies show that passing by, being with and touching these important to you objects actually floods you with pleasure.
Flowers or plants or music all contribute to contentment.
Especially important is to create your space or room with plenty of natural light, because light pouring or streaming in actually lifts your levels of serotonin—a definite mood lifter.
